Motion Designer
Full Time

Our motion designer is at heart a social creature — they speak in GIFs, stickers, stories, snaps and tweets. Their technical skills are on point, their taste is impeccable, and their work shows a natural understanding of the principles of motion. And just as importantly, they also know when it’s time to break the rules.

Glow is looking to hire a motion designer to ideate and produce stellar motion content that takes any campaign to the next level.

What You'll Do
  • Creating motion content for all social media platforms across multiple clients
  • Innovate new motion ideas & solutions
  • Present your design decisions internally and to clients
  • Influence our clients & staff with your expertise
  • Help to improve creative processes across the team
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams
  • Stay ahead of the curve when it comes to emerging trends and capabilities in the world of motion design

What You Have
    • MOTION CHOPS: You think in style frames, color palettes, and keyframes. You are familiar with various types of compression. Post-production work such as motion tracking, color correction, and keying are also in your tool box. You have the ability to sell an idea through design and motion. Working in a variety of techniques and styles excites you.
    • SOCIAL EXPERTISE: Creating engaging social content comes naturally to you, and you understand the nuances of each platform. You can create content to spark fan conversation across platforms, while GIFs, Snaps, and Tweets serve as your second language. You are always excited by figuring out how to elevate social content to be more creative and engaging.
    • EXPERIENCE: Ideally, you’ll have 1-4 years of experience in the agency world creating motion design, and have either a BFA in a relevant field or adequate experience in lieu of a degree. More importantly, your demo reel showcases amazing work along with a breakdown of your project involvement.
    • PRESENCE: You are a mature and confident creative professional with a broad understanding of motion design. You are confident and able to articulate your knowledge to others with a positive attitude. Ideating and participating in brainstorms are fun challenges to you, as is interacting with clients, particularly defending and selling your creative decisions. Deadlines, quick turnaround asks, full-time ongoing projects, and agency life don’t make you flinch.
    • DESIRE TO GROW: No one stops learning, no one stops improving. You know the only way to keep advancing yourself and others is to actively foster an environment of open and honest feedback. You also have an appetite for innovation and are ready to take things one step beyond.
