Night & Weekend Social Media Manager

GLOW is an award winning creative and social media agency based in New York City. For 25 years GLOW has helped the world’s leading brands build the community, content, and connections that fuels fandom for clients like Jägermeister, MGM+, Paramount+ and more.

Now we’re on the hunt for our next social media manager to join our team who will act as the fan-in-chief for our communities. This person will work on a major entertainment client.

Responsibilities

We have a wide range of shifts available, but would need someone to commit to at least one of the following shifts:

 

Monday-Friday: 4PM – Midnight EST
OR
Saturday & Sunday: 9AM – 4PM EST OR 4PM – Midnight EST


Daily Channel Management

  • Monitor all social platforms for comments, messages, mentions, and emerging conversations.
  • Assign tickets, tag issues accurately, and keep workflows moving.
  • Craft on-brand, high-quality responses that reflect the brand’s tone, POV, and priorities.

 

Listening & Engagement

  • Actively scan social platforms to uncover trending topics, cultural moments, and conversations worth joining.
  • Flag potential issues early, escalate to internal teams, and help shape response plans.
  • Drive positive fan engagement, strengthen community relationships, and safeguard brand reputation.

 

Insights & Reporting

  • Audit social performance and synthesize platform data into clear, actionable findings.
  • Identify social trends and behavioral insights that inform briefs, content strategy, and creative thinking.
  • Write sharp, timely POVs on platform changes and industry trends for internal and external use.

Requirements

  • Approximately 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing or agency setting
  • Exceptional writing skills and can create client-ready documents
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially in writing, grammar, tagging, and documentation
  • Deep familiarity with social platforms and Internet culture
