We are looking for a Social Insights Analyst with a numbers-driven, analytical mind who loves the internet. Bonus points if you follow pop culture and the entertainment industry. This person will join our award-winning strategy team within a full-service digital agency as our first fully dedicated analyst. This role will own research needs for GLOW’s clients with data-driven insights development, social media performance reporting, and social listening analysis, primarily in partnership with the strategy team. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for synthesizing data across sources, translating data to insights to the WHY for colleagues in other departments, and creating a story from it all to win business and reach our goals. This strong social media insights analyst will test variables, uncover related trends, find patterns in performance data, and continually contribute to a holistic insights strength for the agency. We are a boutique agency and this role will be on a fast-paced team who loves to collaborate with tons of room for growth. 

What You'll Do
  • Be seen as an expert in social media analysis and insights, with ability to articulate and communicate these with authority to clients and colleagues.
  • Regularly work with department and project lead stakeholders in strategy, creative, content, and community to evaluate and deliver on collective insight needs.
  • Deliver and present insights findings, specific to the project’s needs for audience, platforms, and culture, internally and to clients. Storytelling through this is a must.
  • Craft and deliver social media insight reports for projects to strengthen responses to client briefs. These could include cultural trend identification, competitor analyses, content audits, consumer analysis, and brand research, while providing strategic and actionable recommendations on how that campaign can reach its goals.
  • Deliver reports for our live in market work that measure performance of our content, highlight community response through social listening, with pivot recommendations for the next period. Frequency varies on weekly, monthly, and quarterly. 
  • Setup of trackers and dashboards using enterprise social measuring tools. You’ll have access to Meltwater and we’ll follow your lead to evaluate our toolset and approach over time. 
  • Develop effective internal processes for the above responsibilities .
  • Identify innovative ways to find and present analysis and insights using new technology or methods, while striving to always answer the WHY for colleagues and clients 
  • Stay up to date on ever-changing social media trends, new platforms and algorithm updates.
What You Have
    • 3-5 years social media analysis and insights development (entertainment and/or agency experience a plus)
    • Boolean is your second language
    • Clear comprehension of social media
    • Advanced knowledge of social and digital platform analytics
    • Advanced experience with social listening platforms (experience with Meltwater a plus, or similar)
    • Ability to find, analyze, and synthesize multiple sources of data
    • Methodology development for both primary research and performance measurement
    • Painstaking attention to detail
